I just bought a new trendnet dew-430apb wireless access point. Im trying to use it as a access point to get good signal off another router in another room. I assign the ap a static ip of 198.162.0.20 and assign it a SSID. I also go to the WDS link section of the configuration menu. I select my wireless network to the one its supposed to repeat. It says its all hooked up but when I unplug the ap from the router, move it to my room. Hook up the lan port on the ap to a lan port on the switch/hub. Now i cant get any internet access. It wont assign my computer a ip. any help would be greatly appreciated.
