The only real change is that I switched from ObjectDock to Rocket Dock. ObjectDock uses a little too much resources for what I want and is slow to respond at first.

From my work laptop, running Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit with Gnome Shell, which is oddly stable for not even being in alpha stage yet.

Regular desktop, along with my auto-hide "Docky 2":



In overlay mode with all workspaces showing:
