I need to know if the mobo from an inspiron 4100 will fit and work in the inspiron 4000 I think I know the answer but need a second oppinion, and I cant find anything on the www, thanks.

It usually will. You might have to change the back plate on the case though.

yes call dell support, ask to talk to a mgr so u can maybe understand them and get a straight and to the pt. answer.
