Deleting unused partition

Hey, I tried deleting an unallocated partition I made that is no longer being used. I want to delete the partition so that my main drive can have more memory. Any way of doing this inside windows vista? I tried going to disk management but it didn't give me the option to delete it for some reason.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, you cannot extend a partition containing the operating system into the unallocated space. You would need to use a third party software such as PartitionMagic.

Why not just format the unallocated partition and use it to store pics, music, files, downloads, etc?

Use Gparted live to do this. It is a free apps.
