Deleted History folder & Temp Internet Files Folder

Forgive me, I'm new here. I found the site by googling. I got some basic info in this thread

But I have a question about the Temporary Internet Files Folder. How long does it normally keep files? I look at it today, and the first record was from yesterday morning, but nothing before that.
Has the file been deleted or is this normal?

History depends on your configuration. Anywhere from 1 day to forever ever.

Temp internet files can be delted once you close the browser, depending on your security levels.

On Internet Explorer, there is an option to automatically delete temporarily internet files when the browser is closed, and there is an option to keep the history kept for a lower time.
