Decreasing Boot time

I want to decrease my boot time. Its not that its slow or anything just bored and want to tinker with it. I want to know what kind of things i can do to make it faster or point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

PS i tried using the search feature but nothing came up.

Start>run>type msconfig

Go to start up and uncheck anything you don't want starting up.

Also, USB devices can slow boot times too.

Another thing that can help (basically doing what MSConfig does) is by using the trial for Tune Up Utilities.

Follow the directions on there, fill out the quesionare, and your set. It will check out your computer, and see what can be disabled from start-ups, what can be defragmented, cleaned up from your HDD, etc.
