Deciding to build a PC

Hi,

I have previously posted regarding upgrading my current pc, but it seems less economical to do so :( So instead I am thinking of building my own, now I plan to use some parts from current desktop like; HDD, DVD/CD roms etc, PSU which is 300w (assuming it's good enough?), I need it to be done cheaply, using it for some gaming/normal use but want it to be pretty quick. So any suggestions for Motherboard(would prefer an Asus), CPU, and case, or could I use my current one? All advice most appreciated

Thanks

You will need more than a 300w PSU. What is your budget?

Well I have seen some cases around the £30 mark with a PSU of 450w, budget wise I was hoping no more than £100-£150, by using some of the kit from current desktop, I mean I have seen complete new desktops high spec on ebay for no more than £280.

I wouldn't buy a really cheap poor quality PSU either. Corsair or Seasonic are good. I'd be having a look at kits/combos as they are really good for first time builds and all the parts are carefully chosen for compatibility
