Data recovery?

Hey guys I made a little (big) mistake. Basically I was running gparted on a drive to repartition it but then I needed the computer and it was taking forever in a half. So I canceled it (big mistake) and now my file system seems to be messed up. My computer ran chkdisk or whatever and it deleted like half my stuff. However probably half of my remaining stuff still doesn't work. Winrar files say their corrupt, video files won't play, stuff like that. Windows says the files are the same size as before so I assume the data is still there, just not working. Is there any way I can get these files to work.

I highly doubt it. With a situation like that where it is showing the correct file size but says it is corrupted 99.9% chance that it truly is corrupted and can not be recovered.
