the ctrl-alt-del key is disabled in win2000 pro, i have tried editing it in the policy editor but i can't find the ctrl-alt-del key, only the task manager, but task manager won't come up too even if it is enabled.
what shall i do with this? reinstall?

p.s. i have administrator rights

I can't remember what the CTRL+ALT+DEL menu in Win2k is called, try finding that out, and look for it in group policy editor.

CTRL+SHIFT+ESC is a key shortcut for taskmanager. That should bring it up if it's enabled.

VIRUS!
the virus is blocking you from opening taskmanager and you will see the virus on the list of processes

Did you try pressing the Ctrl+Shift+Esc to enter task manager? From there, if you have a virus, you can shut down the process from there and then maybe you can access the "Windows Security" menu.
