strange story, me and my GF do winter track, we were running outside today, and its kinda cold in Jersey, so she puts her sweat pants on, and there is a small hole in it about the size of a nickel, we just happen to have crazy glue, (i know its the most random thing to have just around), so i glue the hole, but it got really really hot, and began to smoke, it dident catch fire but it could of if we put more glue on.

my question is what would make it smoke, or if we put enough on why would it catch fire?

P.S if you where wondering we fixed the hole.

crazy glue precaution:
"If applied to cotton, cyanoacrylate undergoes an exothermic reaction rapid enough to cause minor burns if spilled on clothing."

Odd is all i can say, maybe there was something on the pants that reacted with the glue an caused a reaction or maybe there was something wrong with the glue its self.
