CPUID hardware monitor, accurate?

Does anyone use it? I was wondering how accurate it is. On my 520HX, it doesn't show the +12v. On my EarthWatts, it shows the +12 @ 10.32v and all of my other voltages are under spec also.

Is this the sign of a faulty PSU or a bad reading?

It's a very good small footprint ulility. I use it as it provides all the voltages/fan speeds/GPU temp etc unlike Real Temp, but I tend to use Real Temp for CPU temps after A True Folder brought it to my attention.

If you want to know whether your 12V line is within spec then check in the BIOS and do not trust software.

I use realtemp for my e8400 and coretemp for my quad. Basically since realtemp was written for the e8xxx chips.

I'll check the BIOS on my next reboot, could be a while though.

It works with most dual, quad and single core CPUs as long as you calibrate it correctly.

If you want to know whether your 12V line is within spec then check in the BIOS and do not trust software.

You never trust a software application or your computers BIOS, both are typically very very off.

What you want to measure voltages is a multimeter. While you can spend hundreds on them, a cheap 10-15$ one is typically great for measuring voltages of computers.
