how do you compare to see if there would be a bottlenecking issue?

I'm using a pentium D 940 @ 3.2ghz

do you base it off the core clock speed? It's at 2400Mhz...I think the weakest part in the computer is the CPU, but that is as high I can go without buying a new computer

well there's a lot more that goes into bottlenecks, it could be your motherboard, your ram, your power supply, anyway we need more info to tell you if you have a bottleneck... tell us everything you have in your system

guess this is more of a ram question now..I didn't want to make a new thread..anyhoo heres what I'll be getting shortly

RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820141199
now I'm not too sure if my motherboard can handle that stuff...so I'll like the motherboard also ( http://www.intel.com/products/motherboard/d102ggc2/index.htm )

PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171028

GPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130318

and the Pentium D processor in my OP...which I cant even find a link too in newegg lol

The only real thing I'm worried about is the ram...do you guys think it'll work with my motherboard?

Yes, the PQI memory you selected will work fine with your Intel D102GGC2 motherboard as it supports "DDR2 533MHz and DDR2 400MHz DIMMs".
