counter strike mike

Hey i have an old mike from a friend that i am supposed to use for counter strike source. but my game wont work with it. i have tested it with windows, and i do kno that it does work. but when i go to the counter strike main page, and then go to options, and voice, and test mike, on the activity bar, nothing moves, please tell my how i can get this fixed because i need to communicate with my team. please feel free to ask for more info

i have the same problem. i have tried 5 different old mikes.

have you tried reinstalling CS:S. i have and it did nothing but it's worth a shot. i aslo tried after a reformat of windows and still nothing.

maybe yours is just a loose cord.

ok im back, and moving the mike jack arnound didnt work

I can't understand what you are saying in your first post, but it sounds like you need to enable a microphone in your windows. I had to do the same thing before I could get mine to work.
