I thought there must be something I could do with the list so I checked again, and I found there were actually 8 options to open the documents with, there were 2 options hidden at the bottom that you have to scroll down for, and 1 was Word 2016, so I opened them with it, and they were OK, except for 1 which was damaged, but I copied and pasted some of them into Open Office in case. And there were only about 12 that were corrupted, not 50 or 60. So the problem is solved. Thanks anyways for your help.
