Cooling Electronics

Hello. I would like to ask a 'strange' question. I have heard that electronics work better when they are cooled.

I worry that my internet modem and even my computer might get to warm to function well ie. It might slow my internet down.

Is there an inexpensive homemade solution I can try to cool down my device...like leaving an ice cube tray on my modem as an example?

Thanks for any and all responses

Your ambient temp would have to be exceptionally high for your devices to get hot enough to slow your internet down.

Anything dealing with ice will cause condensation which would short things out. Odds have it since you're in Canada, your stuff is cool enough.

If your modem and/or router are running too warm for you, try putting them on something that lets air flow underneath them.
