controlling winamp with a joystick

I have a wireless controller on my comp I would like to be able to use to control winamp. The thing is most of the programs I found only support joystick number one, and that joystick is a real joystick that sits on my desktop, so the wireless gamepad has to be joystick number 2. What program will suport more than joystick 1 to control winamp.
