The site I read it on said there might be a Trojan in there that my anti virus can't get to because its a protected directory, I'll just go ahead and repair it I think (scan in safe mode first of course.) Thanks again.

do you have the problem with just ctrl alt and delete? or does it happen for Ctrl shift and Esc as well? if it happens for both then the keyboard is fine and its got to be that trojan thingy or something else. just while we are on the subject i was looking at mine and what does commit charge, kernal memory and PF usage mean?

Yes, There are alot of trojans out there that disable that feature, so that you dont see them running, open a command prompt, and type "tasklist" and kill any strange tasks
