Contemplating New Computer

Looking into maybe buying this computer, looks solid and it has an attractive price tag. Wondering about opinions on this computer.. I'll be using it for all the basic home/school use and what not, but I've read the bad rap it gets for gaming. I'm not going to try to run a lot of high end games, honestly all I play is Counter Strike: Source and the Half-Life 2 series. I just wanted to make sure that this computer is up to par for gaming standards since I have heard negative things in this area... Any input would be helpful, thanks!

Ummm... I would like to keep it around 500-ish, under 600.

Since you're not a hardcore gamer, you would get better performance building your own. Would you be comfortable doing that?

That should run HL2 and CS:S. It's not a bad computer with an AMD X4 for the price.

here's one priced a bit lower with an AMD X2 5000+ and 9500GT: iBUYPOWER Gamer Power 508

I really don't want to go through with building my own, would prefer to just find something for a fairly good deal. On both of those computers that you guy showed me, with the 9500GT's, would those perform better than the HD 3200?

It should. The HD 3200 is an integrated graphics chip in the Gateway.
