ok on newegg it states the clock speed of this card is 500 mhz for the eVGA 6600gt

On the eVGA 6800gt it's clock speed is only 350 mhz, what the hell? and it's 200 more

is this a typo on newegg's part, or is the 6600gt more powerful?
i don't know much about video cards exept the clock speeds and memory, and usually the higher clock speed the better performance right? i.e overclocking and such.
Can someone tell me what's up here?
