So I just got a brand new Dell with Vista. To conserve power, every time I left my computer I would put it to sleep. However, now, all of sudden, when I put it to sleep, it goes into power save mode, the hard drive stops spinning and the second it does, it starts up again and the computer goes back to the desktop. This is extremely weird, considering when I just leave the computer for an hour (which is how long it takes to automatically put the computer to sleep) it goes to sleep no problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks

Go to your Desktops, right click on Properties. You will see the Screen Saver tab, click that and near the OK, Cancel, and Apply button, you'll see the Monitor Power window. Click that Power button and viola, that's how you're going to fix the settings for your computer to go to sleep.
