I'm a junior college student going to transfer to university next semester. I'm interested in software engineering, but trying to decide which degree to get. Im debating on whether to get a computer science degree or a computer engineering degree. Which one is the better choice or should I double major in computer science and electrical engineering?

Moved to Careers & Education board.

Computer Science is geared more towards the software side of things, i.e. development. Computer engineering will be geared more towards hardware, relatable to electrical engineering.

Mostly depends on what interests you more - software or hardware?

Im mainly geared more towards software. Reason why I asked the question because since computer engineering is intergrated with both CS and EE I thought it'll be the best option.
