Computer problem

I have Dell 266 , 4.2 hd, 64 ram and it is not going into BIOS when
i press ctrl+alt+enter it halts plz help me


and some time it gives error like KEyboard data line failure and halts

This rises many questions on my part.1. What version of windows are you currently running(98 I suppose)

again try Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

It's been a while since I've used anything other than XP, but I think to enter BIOS in Win 98+95 it's one of the F keys F7 or F8.

Enter BIOs? If its the BIOs I'm thinking of its Delete or F8 at startup? If you mean Task Manager its Control Alt Delete.

Get out your manual,you are useing the wrong key.
It's usually only 1.

I also do not understand the referance to bios with an alt cntrl del-however the error message is an indication that 1 you have a defective keyboard or 2 that the plug into the computer is dirty and or making poor contact. Try spraying the plug clean with wd-40 shake out the excess and blow dry-reinsert the plug and see if the error continues-if so borrow or buy another keyboard.

WE have different keys to enter in bios some have DEL some have f8
but mine computer have ctrl+alt+enter to enter the bios

when i start my computer a message is display


Press ctrl+alt+enter to enter setup

after this the computer is halt

Does the mbd manual say this ? I doubt it,read it again.

What do you want the BIOs for?

Secondly, if thats not working, have to tried Delete or F8? Does the Keyboard work?

you get into the bios on most dells by pressing f2
also try f1

Oh my GOd

simply the problem is my computer is not getting into windows and also not going into bios before the prob i use ctrl+alt+enter to enter the bios not my computer halts right after the POST
