Computer monitor conversion

Hi i have a Hp monitor that only has a dvi-d input and my tower has a VGA connection only. I was think to buy a dvi-d to VGA converter and then connect a vga cable to make that monitor work with my tower. Has any one tried that convertion ? or any suggestions ? Thanks

Don't go with Ebay, it's stupid. Always go with Newegg. Very cheap and you always find a computer that ACTUALLY WORKS.

Well newegg is useless to me & others and there is nothing wrong with Ebay.

BTW I used the ebay listings for the OP to give him an idea to what to use for his problem....where he chooses to purchase is up to him.
