Computer freezes

this is a pretty generic question, my computer randomly freezes weather i am am burning a dvd or just playing hearts. i hit CTRL+ALT+DEL the task manager pops up but that freezes also, any ideas on what would cause this?

Have u installed anything since the problems began? Are ur drivers up to date etc, erm lol do u overclock? IF you could tell us alil bit more about when this started to happen might help, and also ur system specs please.

Maybe your system RAM is running low...
