Computer cooling discussion... too much?

What is bad is if you have a weak system that can't sustain a temperature under load.

For example. your system idles at -60C. But under a full load it jumps to like 40C. This rapid change is what is harmful.
 
The only thing that would cause a ridiculous hike like that would be complete Phase Coolant system failure. In which case it would most likely power off your system and at worst blow a fuse in the cooler.

But yeah that kind of a jump would murder anything lol
 
Ya, that is a extreme. But even a lot smaller spikes can occur if you don't have the proper gas or something. Under those extreme temps. and spikes really cause damage.
 
Ic. I'm not worried about it. If by chance I fry my processor. just mean's I can get rid of this B3 and find some way of getting a G0 shipped from the states. lol Grab a new SLI mobo at the same time since that would probably fry as well.
