Ok, here is my build:
intel core i7 920 processor
coolermaster v8 heatsink
antec 900 case
corsair 750 watt power supply
6gb (3x2gb) ddr3 1333MH memory
dual ati radeon 5770 crossfire
1tb Hard Drive
MSI X58 Pro-E Motherboard
Samsung SH-S222L DVD DRIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have built my Pc and it is running but since my monitor has not arrived yet, i can not set up bios or anything. Right now, all fans and everything work EXCEPT my DVD Drive. i have tried plugging it in and out and it still will not even open or close. Any recommendations to help fix this. Also, my computer insides look like a bomb went off because of the cords. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Also, My PC turns on and all the fans turn on, the motherboard turns on, gpu led's light up, but the screen is black and when i plug my mouse into the motherboards usb, it doesnt do anything. (this is probably a pretty obvious error) Thanks again

Run cords behind the mobo tray if they aren't needed.
zip ties
round ide cables
electric tape
I run everything behind the mobo tray then pull it back outso there is no excess.
keep things at 90 degree angles flat on surfaces.

As far as the DVD drive, you could try a different power plug on the PSU, but it looks to be DOA.

EDIT: here's my computer (one of them). It used to be like what you are describing. Patience.
