It's been way to long since someone made one of these, so lets get started.

- 1: Budget build
- 2: Mid range build
- 3: High end build
- 4: Very High end build

These builds are intended for gaming, however the High and Very High end builds will be able to be used for anything you could want to use them for.

1: Budget build About $500

CPU- Newegg.com - AMD 760K Richland 3.8GHz Socket FM2 100W Desktop Processor AD760KWOHLBOX

MOBO- Newegg.com - MSI A78M-E45 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

GPU- Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P4-2751-KR GeForce GTX 750 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Video Card

RAM- CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 - Newegg.com

HDD- Western Digital WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive - Newegg.com

PSU- CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Newegg.com

CASE- NZXT Source 210 S210-001 Black “Aluminum Brush / Plastic” ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Newegg.com

Now this build won't get you 60fps on ultra settings, it will however be able to play the latest games at a reasonable fps. With the GTX 750 it's power consumption will also be very low.

2: Mid range build About $700

CPU- AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor FD6300WMHKBOX - Newegg.com

MOBO- Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P AM3+/AM3 AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

GPU- Newegg.com - EVGA 02G-P4-3757-KR GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 FTW w/ ACX Cooling Video Card

PSU- CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Newegg.com

CPU FAN- COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1366/1155 and AMD FM1/FM2/AM3+ - Newegg.com

CASE- Corsair Carbide Series 200R Black Steel structure with molded ABS plastic accent pieces ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Newegg.com

Unlike the last build this will be able to play all games on good settings with a good fps. With the aftermarket CPU cooler it will make the build less noisy and keep the CPU nice and cool. Same rule applies won't require that much power and with the SSD it will allow very quick loading times in games.

3: High end build About $1400

CPU- Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150 84W Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics BX80646I54670K

MOBO- Newegg.com - MSI Z97-Gaming 5 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

HDD- Newegg.com - WD BLACK SERIES WD2003FZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

PSU- CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready - Newegg.com

CPU FAN- CORSAIR Hydro Series H80i Water Cooler - Newegg.com

CASE- Newegg.com - Corsair Obsidian Series 450D Black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case

This build using a 4960K as well with a H80I will allow for great overclocking potential and keeping the CPU very cool. With the Superclocked EVGA Geforce GTX 770 it will allow you to play any games that you want to on high settings with great fps.

4: Very High end build About $2100

CPU- Intel Core i7-4770K - Newegg.com

MOBO- Newegg.com - ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

PSU- CORSAIR AXi series AX860i 860W Digital ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready - Newegg.com

CPU FAN- CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Water Cooler - Newegg.com

CASE- Newegg.com - Corsair Obsidian 750D Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case

With this build you would be able to play any game on ultra at well over 60fps. Also with extreme overclocking potential this build is more than enough for anyone if you're willing to pay the price.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback on how I did making this list. I will also update this list as the nvidia 800 series come out as well as Broadwell.

Solid solid builds man! An alternative option for the Mid Range Build

CPU- Newegg.com - Intel Core i3-4130 Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150 54W Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4400 BX80646I34130

Motherboard- Newegg.com - MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX High Performance CF Intel Motherboard

Even though its a hyperthreaded dual core vs a six core, intel outperforms AMD in single core performance, which is the most important metric for cpus. It's an alternative.

For the High End Build

SSD- Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE250BW 2.5" 250GB SATA 6Gb/s MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

PSU- CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready - Newegg.com

Get a lower end but still very solid 750w psu and with the money saved get a bigger SSD.

But again man solid build choices

Yeah I actually thought the same thing about the mid range build, but I decided against it because I thought people might complain I put a core i3 on the list. (Which a lot of people say it sucks for gaming.)

About the High end build, the reason why I went with the higher quality PSU is beacuse it was modular and having a modular PSU in the 450D would look much better than a non modular one. It helps as well to have a gold certified PSU.

Yeah let me edit the post.

It won't let me edit the post. -_-

I'd like to ad for gaming anything over 8gb unless you are planning on using a ram disk is overkill when have you ever seen a game that requires more than 8gb of RAM?

Only reason why they had 16gb of ram is because it's always nice to have extra for multitasking, as well as it hardly cost any more the 8gb of ram.

I don't really think if anyone should spend $2100 on a PC they should put an AMD CPU in it. Yeah I just find AMD CPUS better for budget builds, and Intel CPUS better for higher end builds.

If that build were intended for gaming then 8GB is plenty, 16GB in a gaming rig is overkill unless you'd be recording and video editing and rendering.
