I want to buy my brother some RAM for christmas since he is in need of some. I was wondering what specs have match to make the RAM compatible with one another. He currently has one 2gig stick of Nvidia DDR2 (the other burned out on him the same week he purchased it) I dont believe nvidia makes RAM anymore or if they ever have (not really knowledgeable of nvidia products other than their geforce graphic cards). Can anyone help?

If he bought RAM from a store, then he most likely has a lifetime warranty on it...most brands do.

Goto crucial.com or kingston.com and run their scanner program, this will tell you the mobo you have and also the RAM that is compatible with your system, it will also allow you to buy it, once you know what you need then you can go elsewhere to see if you can get it cheaper
