comp on tv

Im trying to hook up my comp to my big screen, im using a vga cable, and i turn on the comp, it shows the windows loading screen, and then it goes blank. What should i do?

Probably need to set ya graphics card to display thru tv and not monitor

Go to settings, and find a way to get dual mointors. Thats what I had to do with a customers rig, EXTACT SAME PROBLEM. Just go in display and find a way to get dual moinotrs, I can't speak for your GPU, but it can be different. Might be under advanced tab.
