Commvault enterprise backup

Hi All

any ever herd of some enterprise software called commvault?
if so does any one know how to run Ant-virus software alongside?

seems the current av scans the stub files and then retrieves the files from backup, on a large network it keeps retreiving all the backs and there are allot.

i was the commvault admin at my last job. Can you please reword\clarify the question? The antivirus is retrieving files from backups? You have to kick off restores manually.. i guess i don't get the question

Ya to be honest i am not sure I fully understand how the software works.
My understanding of the way this works is, Files are backed up to external storage, stub files are left behind on the pc. These stub files look exactly the same as the normal files, with the same file extension etc, but they are only 2kb in size.

The problem is that when the antivirus (AVG) scans any one of these files, it is automatically restored to the users computer. This is causing problems as all backed up files are getting restored when there is no need, causing hard drives to fill up etc.

Hope this makes sense, any advise would be much appreciated.
