Im sure all us britz watched the game...i wanna know ya comments here...

Sorry mate, but at the risk of being a little pedantic ;) I don't think ALL Brits watched the game. Being a so-called "Brit" - which I'm not, I'm English; Britain is a political State made up of England, Scotland, Wales ond N. Ireland - I DIDN'T watch England, and I don't think the Welsh or Scots did either; well maybe only to see if they lost:D

fair nuff mate, well each to their own. You know there is no such thing as an english man anymore? I'm serious, my grandad was coming to visit me (i live in canada now, i moved from england 3 yrs ago) and he had to select his nationality...theres all this "Anglo Pakistani and Anglo-CRAP" My grandad being the Englishman that he was, crossed out all of that crap and wrote

"ENGLISH"

Rite on, that wot i thought.

Your grandad was right! For clarity, I meant no offence in my original post. I'm actually very proud to be English (I have Irish & Scottish blood in my ancestory as well, and my Uncle emigrated to Canada several decades ago - made the better choice if you ask me;) ).

Indeed, I agree wholeheartedly with you here; with all this one-world and one-europe garbage there's gonna soon be NO nationality whatsoever worth hanging onto. It'll just be utilised to satisfy us sentimental 'patriots', until of course the next few generations or so are so used to the one-world drivel, that the PTB can eradicate any sense of TRUE 'nationhood'. And it's ironic that thinking of the subject of your original post (I'm not really into football/soccer anymore) that in this sorry mess of a world, alot of joe-public (and I'm NOT referring specifically to you ADZ)associate modern 'patriotism' or 'nationhood' with a 'national' sports team . BTW, I apologise for the rant, but you obviously pick up a very good point. And my fellow English best wishes to you.
