Clock Changes/Resets

Hi for some reason my clock keeps changing and tells the wrong time. I think it might be the coin battery but I'm not sure. Any fixes? And if my coin battery goes out are there going to be any "serious" problems besides the clock resting itself?

I doubt its a virus because I have Norton Anti Virus and every spyware program I can find.

If you take out that CMOS battery, whatever configuration you had setup in CMOS may be erased. It's no big deal if you never changed BIOS settings or things like that.

Or your computer is set to the wrong time zone. Windows automatically updates the clock every so often, and if you have it set to the wrong time zone, the time will be wrong.

You can check by setting the appropriate time, then have Windows update the time. To do this, double-click the clock, and click on the Internet Time tab. Click Update Now from there, and it should update in a few seconds. If it goes to the wrong time, check your time zone on the Time Zone tab right next to it.
