although idk what to put for this question!! call me a noob but wtf!?
Which of these should be disabled before starting an operating system upgrade? System tray
Network clients
Print spooler
Anti-virus programs

Nope... I work at a locally-owned RadioShack.

And Static... I'd say network client, but that's just a guess xD.

It's a decent place to work. She gets a decent employee discount and 50% off Logitech items. I don't have a Circuit City or even a Best Buy anywhere near where I live, if I did I'd be working there.

*~Ryan~* says:
I would say anti virus
*~Ryan~* says:
cause it is definitely going to be writing to sensitive system files
*~Ryan~* says:
which an anti virus will take as a threat

*shrug*
whatever.

Its not Windows Update though, its an OS Upgrade...so an AV shouldn't conflict anyway, since you're booting off of a disc to upgrade, aren't you?

Trick question, never do an OS upgrade. IT always results on odd errors. Back-up your data and do a fresh install always!

But I do agree that the answer is AV. AV may try and flag any changes to system files as a virus attacking your system. It would show up once you boot the new OS if at all.
