Chrome out of memory issue

Every now and then in Chrome browser I will randomly get

something went wrong when trying to display this webpage

The error is out of memory

Usually happens with Tiktok, but did it with another site tonight.

I know it's not an actual out of memory issue as that PC has 64 gigs of RAM and I've never even come close to using half the RAM at any given time.

So what could the problem be?

Have you looked into Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced Tab > Performance Settings > Advanced > Here Select Allocate for programs > then under virtual memory

Virtual memory set custom size

set minimum and maximum to same value more than what it was, say 2048 just for example > set

then restart.

If that doesn't do it may need to update chrome to newest version and then go through all chrome settings.

Other than that all check Tiktok settings??

Didn't start happening until maybe a year ago and rarely happens.

Does the same on another PC with a simple website that just has an audio stream playing and am not sure when it started as I hadn't streamed the audio from that website in a little over a year, but at that point it had worked fine no problem.

I'm inclined to believe it might be a Chrome bug.

One way to be sure is to use edge on the other PC and see how long it plays the audio stream.

Well if it's only in Chrome and only Tiktok then it's just chrome and/or Tiktok. Can try their support forums.

If its just tiktok on any browser good luck with tiktok support. Our thoughts and pray's are with you!

It's also another website that just streams audio on another PC.

So tonight I will try to load up that site in Edge on the other PC and see if it eventually errors out.
