First of all a warning about buying a refurbished Abit NF7-S from mwave.com . I got two and both were bad. I posted a topic about my first one. Not saying anything bad about mwave. So far they have treated me right. I ended up returning the last NF7-S and ordering a MSI KT880 Delta-FSR. Due to the returns it has been a long time since I tried to change out mobos I forgot what are the best ways to do it.
If I remember correctly it is best to do a fresh install of the OS when doing this since all the drivers for the old mobo are still on the hard drive? Can someone refresh my memory?

Yes definitely reinstall Windows afterwards, otherwise you're bound to have problems. You are right that it is because of drivers, etc.

I have already backed up my important files to my second hard drive. When I do the re-install will I have to re-install my programs (games, ISP software, applications, etc.)?
