Centre channel problems with Creative I-Trigue 5600

I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe mother board which uses a Realtek ac650 6ch audio card, for some reason i cant get the centre channel to work? on the nforce control pannel it is all set up for 5.1 but when i do the test speaker tone it does every other speaker except the centre one?? the actual speaker works fine becuase i have tryed other speakers to act as the centre speaker and none work? does anybody have any ideas?

Hmm, if you go to the Control Panel, and to the sound options. Is the speaker setup set to 5.1? Or maybe just 4.1?

yeah everything is set up to 5.1....
Any other ideas?

Well, I bought a pc (packard bell ixetreme1907 - i didn't make this one) and i had the problem with a realtek aduio card. The problem wasn't with the card itself, but the fron audio station (which connected to the card). I got this replaced and now my speakers work fine in both channels. Do you have a similar setup?
