paste the output

sudo mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb1 /mnt -o force

NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation

This is the out put of those two commands.

It says it has mounted the volume but under computer I cant access it Via. trying too open it threw the GUI.

It's a good job the guy wasn't desperate for the data off this HDD. Haven't seen you on the forums in four days.

Totally went dead at the drop of a hat.

I've been in another state house hunting for the last four days.

If more immediate assistance is needed, you may be better off taking the drive to a data recovery specialist and spending the money to get it faster.

I apologize iFargle for that out burst. I've had my cousin stop with me for two weeks straight . I'm under a lot of stress with her. It's not your problem iFargle so I apologize again.

My cousin has been hear & the guest was on my case three times a day for his data.

She's never left the house & is still talking to her abusive bf on the phone.

I sick & fed up & also frightened for my safety with her. She's a plonkie on the bottle. I can't get rid of her.
