Can't install Update

My Driver Booster is showing the intel(R)Ethernet Connection (2) i218-v. Available 10/26/16 is out -dated. I have disabled the anti-virus and firewall but the Driver Booster fails to update. It's showing this driver as being very old.

Having never heard of Driver Booster, I Googled it and it looks like something I would never install on my system.

I would download the driver directly from the manufacturer and install it. The updated driver might not even be necessary.

I've used Driver Booster. It's not as bad as it looks actually. Are you having a problem with the current driver for the network adapter? If not I would leave it alone.

Intel has newer ones avaliable on their website Downloads for Intel® Ethernet Connection I218-V

If your internet is working fine then I wouldn't bother messing with the drivers.

I have to agree w/the above...

If the driver in your computer is working fine...don't update it.

Although updating the driver for your graphics card is another story.

Better download manually and update the driver. sometime it works.
