I never said they wouldn't reach that, I told you what the current transfer rates are. Chances are the ps3 has like a 2x (4x tops, but unlikely) drive in it, you won't get fast transfer rates than that with it without replacing the drive if it's anything like current dvd or cd technology. I don't think a firmware update can up the transfer rate, that would need to be a hardware upgrade. Something I don't see sony offering.
