Hi all,

Quick question - I've had issues installing the Windows 10 1709 update, it continually fails.

Can I reinstall Windows 10 or use the Windows 10 ‘reset' feature without having to go through the hassle of reinstalling TrueCrypt?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: I should also add I've tried the Windows Creation Media tool without success either.

The reset might work, but the encryption blocking the install might also block that reset.

I'm not 100% sure the encryption is the cause of the update problem - many forums, including MSFT, list drivers for third party software among a variety of other possible issues. I was just going to do an OS reinstall but didn't want to go through the hassle of setting up TrueCrypt all over again, hehe.

It could be that the encryption is the issue, I'm just not sure.

Drivers or software should not hamper a feature update.

Agreed, seems bizarre - just repeating what I've seen suggested a few times.

As far as I can tell, there's no clear answer for root cause of the issue.
