i have just been messing around with a few spare bits i had. i uilt a pc using a 4.5 gig hard drive, i partitioned it 50/50 and went on to install windows xp. now it is up and running i am getting the "low space on c:"
message.
can i make the partition c: any bigger without having to re format?
or can i somehow transfer files from c: to the other partition to make some room? i tried to transfer programe file but when i tried to delete the one eft in c: it wouldn't let me.

Not enought space...

Xp in itself is anywhere from 2 gigs on up. Add in the updates and you run out quick. 2.25 gigs is not enough as is 4 gigs.
And on top of all that you have only so many installs you can do with xp before you have to pick up the phone and explain why you do so many installs with the same cd.

I used partition magic and didn't like it. The software I found that I like is bootit. It's a cd bootable partition software. You can resize partitions without having to reformat.
