Hi

i got bored of staring at my broken GBA SP, so i opened it up, gutted it (like a fish) and managed to (accidentally) break the screen. I was left with an empty body, i want to make use of it, so im going to build a )SMALL( pc, made to fit the GBA body; about 70mmx70mm in size.

processor: would like equal to or greater than 50MHz, not really fussed.
the obvious size constraint: <70mm^2
low power consumption <3 watts (heehee, its a heart)
about a meg of SRAM
changable storage medium, i.e. sdcard
small LCD display
touchscreen input (from a nintendo DS)

I have a 6 week summer to kill, i thought this would suffice. any advice would be greatly appreciated, like where to look for the microcontroller, lcd driver board small enough.

That sounds like a pretty cool project, actually. I also have a GBA SP left over, might try taking mine apart too :p

"I don't think you can build a "PC" that small."

iv looked at the Atom, yes its too big.

Its also a fair bit bigger than i need, in processing power i mean. 50MHz is kinda tiny in comparison :p

"might try taking mine apart too "

good luck with the screws!
