Hey all, as I said in the subject line, I'm building my own computer (with my dad's and someone else's help) but I first need some help with my list of components. If someone who seriously knows about computers and parts could look over the parts I want to get to see if they'd work together and to see if I've missed anything, I'd be very thankful. (btw, i won't be getting a sound card cause i believe its integrated into the mobo, but please correct me if i am wrong)

Keep in mind I am utterly new to this whole build-it-yourself thing so any sugestions anyone has would be greatly appricated and thoroughly thought out. Also, anyone know where I can get a 7 in 1 or a 9 in 1 media card reader or w/e it's called? thanks!

prefer under 1200 but won't pay more than 1500, i'm looking to get a computer i can have for the next 5-10 years because of upgrades

nono, i plan on upgrading a lot, i mean't i want a system that can handle that

thanks rakedog. can someone look at the specs of all the stuff there to see if they're all compatible? or if pieces aren't meant to go along with some other piece? as i said before i am a beginner and the only info about building a computer i just read yesterday from "buildyourowncomputer.net" so i don't know if everything i picked out will work together. thanks!

I still need help, what I need is for someone to go through my list and look at the details to see if everything fits, and to make sure there aren't pieces of hardware or software I need to get in order for this computer to work. Thanks!

everythings good! Get an SATA hard drive though, much much faster and up to date!

awesome! thanks! i still want to hear as many complaints as possible, i don't want anything to not work the best it can
