Hey guys, would the following computer rig be able to play most of the games in the market with no problems? Such as Starcraft 2, Crysis 2 and other demanding games.

Intel Core i7-950
EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1024MB
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series DDR3 1600MHz (PC3-12800) 6GB (3x2GB) Triple Channel Kit
Western Digital Caviar Blue (WD10EALS) 1000GB (1TB) SATAII 7200RPM 32MB
Antec CP-850 ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply (CP-850)

Would I need to tweak anything? I know that some parts work well with others but I'm not sure If the parts in my computer would benefit from each other if you get what I mean :) Also would changing the RAM into triple channel with 12GB 1600MHz help? Or would I be better off getting a triple channel 6GB 1866MHz or maybe 2000MHz?

What kind of a motherboard would best suit this rig If I wanted to get 2 gtx 460s in SLI? I was thinking about the Asus Rampage III Gene motherboard but I'm not sure if its the best fit for my specs.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

me to
cpu Intel Core i7-950
motherboard??
ga-x58a-ud3r is a recomendation.
ram corsair xms 3x2gb
gpu ati radeon hd 5770 1gb
psu 1200w shaw viper psu
but with a i7 950 you cant go wrong so 1+ for that.
Western Digital Caviar Blue (WD10EALS) 1000GB (1TB) SATAII 7200RPM 32MB or similar

I don't think you need the 1200W PSU. I think 750W is more then enough for those specs.

yes i agree but within the next year im going to buy a ati hd 5970 or 6970 which ever is better. but they are also some of the most expensive cards out there. and also what is your budget?
my build was just under $2000 with accesories.

I'm trying to build the most cost efficient PC. Right not I've bought everything except for a motherboard, CPU, and the RAM. Got a good deal on a Zotac gtx 480 for $300 :D Is the Asus Rampage gene III better then the Asus Sabertooth for gaming? Or is the RAM slots too close to the video card slot that may cause problems?
