I am planning on building a new computer soon. I have been researching some parts online, mostly @ places like New Egg. So far I like the AMD 3700 San Diego and maybe an ASUS SLI mother board. I got a recommendation from a friend to go with something like a 6800 GT or if I can afford it, a 7800 GT video card. I will use the computer for mostly flight simulators. Any thoughts on what parts to use?I Have a very limited budget around 800 dollars. I have already purchased a case and power supply (Antec). I also have a new 250 GB hard drive with a 16 MB cache (Maxtor). Am I going in the right direction? Thanks

Well, you could get an ok system for 800, you wont need loadss of power if its just for flight simulator, i mean they need something like a 32mb/64mb video card, and 64mb ram, i mean my bros dell dimension 3000 rocks the latest 2004 edition.

6800GT are good and 7800gt are better but for your money get a 6800gs. comes overclocked to near 7800 specs and can easily be overclocked more AND is much cheaper. have fun.

that seems like a typo.
I think you should lower down your processor because you dont have a great budget. 3200 would be fine but it is your choice. I think a 3700 is too high but anyways...
