Build Question?

I want to eventually build an awesome computer; however, I currently do not have the money to buy it all at once.

My understanding is that the main components are the case and motherboard. I basically want to start with a platform that has more than enough room for expansion.

I was planning on purchasing my equipment from newegg or microcenter; can anyone recommend a good case and motherboard and a favorite website to purchase from? Thank you.

$350, I'm trying to save $100 each month. I was just on microcenter's website and was looking at PSU's, I guess I would need to figure how much wattage I would need too.

I'd save it until you can buy it all at once. Some components just don't want to stop dropping in price. plus it may be easier to make a mistake this way especially if you aren't entirely sure what you are doing. Saving up will also allow you to have more time to do some research.
