Hi all, I have recently wanted to play games on-line and connect to a friend, call of duty says that my NAT type is strict. however I have done everything I can to try and change this. I have opened the ports to allow the connection and I have even moved the "static" IP address into the DMZ but still it would not budge from strict.

I tried to connect using a different router (Belkin) and it worked fine and set the NAT to open. so it had to be the router.

as a last resort I called BT and their third line technical support could not even help me. after about half an hour of remotely changing the settings on the router he could not get it to work and then diverted me to what he believed was even higher technical support. after I had been transferred I found out that it was a third party company in with BT based up north of the UK. they wanted £10 for 3 months as a subscription.

you can guess what I said !

I have now bought a new router and it should arrive tomorrow.

Does anyone have the same problem with the type A home hub 2, or was it just me ?

If so how did you overcome the problem Im facing (if you did).
