how much ram would you need in a computer to store as much as your brain can store, ie you or I can remember louds of things inc;
phone numbers
people names
registration plates
address's
birthdays
passwords

and tons and louds more

one odd thing about the brain is that it "sees " everything. Something can pass before you eyes in a second, you may not notice it at all but your brain sure does and stores that image. when you sleep is when your brain actually stores everything for long term storage and rebuilds damaged neurons etc as well. If you are over fatigued your brain will also shut parts of it self off basically. Your thought center is first to go, which is why when you are really tired you have trouble thinking sometimes.

Speaking of the amount of space the brain has. I was watching a show about cornea transplants and apparently just "being able to see" doesnt mean you can see. Apparently your brain has to actually learn how to see at a young age. So people who have been blind their entire life, even with corneal transplants still have issues with sight because the brain doesnt know how to interpret the images.

yeah you learn how to see pretty early on actually. There are studies now that show that fetuses open their eyes at around 20 weeks in the pregnancy and it is believed that they can actually perceive light passing thru the tissue of the mothers stomach. and possibly shadowy shapes if there is enough light.
