I got a Pentium D 3Ghz processor and 2Gigs DDR2 Kingston RAM, and I just purchased an EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 640mb card. I was planning on getting a 8800 GTS OC2 BFG card, but this one was much cheaper (about 450 canadian, as compared to 550). It is not overclocked, but I doubt 100 mhz will make a difference for me. Finally, I'll be able to crank up the settings.

y pentuim d?
intel core 2 duo is so much better

Better yet, save some money and don't get shitty ass crap ^_^.

AMD & ATI ftw.

(Heres how it works).

Intel for Documents/Imaging programs (Virtual Artists prefer Intel).

Amd for Gaming and Videos.

And ATI > Nvidia.

Show us some proof of that. You have no idea what you're talking about.

dude the core 2 duo owns any AMD out right now

first off, AMD can suck my balls. The only reason people buy it is because it is cheaper than Intel, whos processors are much better.

Second, perhaps Core 2 Duos are newer, but I will not upgrade yet as I only bought my processor last year. Besides, it is 2 cores and at 3Ghz, so logically it still runs very very well compared to the newer technology.

ya amd suxs right now
and it dosnt matter if your pentuim d is at 3 ghz
intel core 2 duo 1.8 ghz in a lot of tests will kick its ass
it dosnt matter how fast u can perform a prosses is how many at the same time
pluse intel core 2 duos over clock amazingly ive seen a e6400 on air over clocked to 3.8 ghz
