Booting of USB Drive Problem HELP!!!!

I have an Archos External DVD-R and I am trying to do a System Recovery on my Sharp Actius MM10 (tiny one no external HD).

It recognizes the cd drive when in windows but it wont boot from it.

I also set sys. bios boot order and i have put cd 1st and 2nd in boot order and it still wont boot.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

How is it connected? Usb? Ok... then, I think you have to do it through USB port, no cd drive. It might not recognize the usb first as the cd drive... I don't know your BIOS but usually you have to set a specific usb port in BIOS to get it to boot from it.

I also use my PC-MCICA(sp) card DVD Rom Drive and it still doesnt recognize it,

And yes I set my bios to USB Bootable

Have you tried multiple usb ports? Do you know if the one you use is in working order?
